Plant a Garden

A flower garden can be a big focal point on a property if it is strategically placed. First, you should determine how large you want the garden to be. Also, where it is located is just as important as this will be dependent upon the type of flowers in the garden to ensure they get enough sun. 

Once the flower garden is installed and the flowers are planted, the landscaping company will put an edging around the garden. This may be a concrete, brick, metal, rubber, or plastic edging.  Edging not only makes a flower garden look much nicer but is beneficial as well. For example, edging will prevent grass and weeds from getting into the flower garden. 

Along with the flower garden, the landscape company may landscape around it. This may be planting flowering bushes near the garden or even planting a small tree that flowers during the spring months.

Hardscaping is anything that is not planted. This could be something like a water fountain, installing a pond, putting up a gazebo, and much more. Using hardscaping around your property can make a big difference in the way it looks.

The landscape company may choose to add a water fountain near the newly planted flower garden or set up an area to put a garden bench for people to sit.  The landscape contractor may suggest a pathway on your property. This could be a pathway that leads to a focal point in your yard or to your front porch. Many things can be used to make this, such as concrete, brick, steppingstones, stacked stones, or pavers. 

If you have a bigger budget, the landscaping company may suggest you add a patio to your home, add a sunroom, or even install a new driveway, if needed. A patio can be attached to your home. Put a cover over the patio and this is like extending your living space as this is an area where you can entertain.
